<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when transmitting a plurality of print data items to which the same password is added through a host computer, it is necessary for a user to perform a password authenticating operation over and over again. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer transmits to a printing apparatus a plurality of print data items to which the same password is added. The printing apparatus includes means for receiving and storing one of the plurality of transmitted print data items, operation means for receiving input of a password from a user, and image forming means in which, when the password inputted from the user is matched with the password added to the stored print data, image formation is performed on the basis of the print data to which the matched password is added. In the case where remaining print data in the plurality of transmitted print data items are received after image formation, image formation is performed on the basis of the remaining print data without the necessity for the user to input the password again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
