<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood tar production apparatus and method to use wood tar generated with a biomass processing effectively as a fuel. <P>SOLUTION: The wood tar production apparatus includes: a gasification furnace 5 which thermally decomposes biomass and generates thermal decomposition gas and a carbonized product; an exchanger 6 which makes the hot gas generated by thermal decomposition heat-exchange with clean air of normal temperature, and cools the thermal decomposition gas to temperature to condense wood tar in thermal decomposition gas; and a tar tank 8 which collects a wood tar of a liquid part which is condensed by cooling the thermal decomposition gas, thermally decomposes biomass by a gasification furnace 5 to generate the thermal decomposition gas, cools to temperature in which the thermal decomposition gas is cooled to condensate a wood tar by the exchanger 6, and collects a wood tar of a liquid part which has been condensated by the cooling in the tar tank 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
