<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct current power supply unit that can supply, at the time of start, current larger than the maximum rating current IL at the time of normal operation as is specification necessary for normal operation (for example, specification of selection or thermal design of a switching element). <P>SOLUTION: A direct current power supply unit 10 performing constant current reduction operation limiting output current to a predetermined value for overcurrent protection supplies current more than the predetermined value to a load RL by performing reduction operation for reducing output voltage and increasing output current if it is necessary to supply current more than the predetermined value (more than the maximum rating current IL) to the load RL. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
