<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press operation device for easily adjusting holding force for holding an operation part. <P>SOLUTION: A tilt mechanism 70 includes: a support flap 80 turnably supported by a housing of a printer part 11 for turnably supporting an operation panel 20; and a support leg 71 turnably supported by the operation panel 20 whose posture is changed to a first posture and a second posture by turning. When the operation panel 20 is raised from the first posture to the second posture, the support leg 71 is turned and raised. The support flap 80 includes a base part 81 with which the turning distal end of the support leg 71 is to be in slidable contact, and a recess 88 to which the turning distal end of the support leg 71 in slidable contact with the base part 81 is to be fitted. By being pushed by the turning distal end of the support leg 71 in the recess 88, the posture of the support flap 80 is changed from a fifth posture to a sixth posture.
