The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gel electrolyte for lithium ion secondary batteries, which exhibits flame retardancy over a long period and has a good capacity retention ratio. This gel electrolyte for lithium ion secondary batteries comprises: a lithium salt; a copolymer of a first monomer comprising at least one compound selected from compounds represented by chemical formulae (1) and (2) and a second monomer represented by chemical formula (4); a phosphorus oxo acid ester derivative comprising at least one compound selected from compounds represented by chemical formulae (5) to (7); and a disulfonic acid ester comprising at least one compound selected from cyclic disulfonic acid esters represented by chemical formula (8) and linear disulfonic acid esters represented by chemical formula (9).
