An air conditioning apparatus and a method for controlling an air conditioning apparatus are provided. The method may include turning on an image capturing device provided in an indoor device; recognizing a gesture identifier moved in front of the image capturing device; inputting a gesture according to a movement of the gesture identifier; analyzing the input gesture; extracting operating condition(s) corresponding to the analyzed gesture; and driving the indoor device according to the extracted operating condition(s). |
