The present invention relates to an electronic device and a control method thereof. The control method includes the following steps of: determining whether a touch object contacts a touch surface; and determining whether the touch object contacts one touch area or sequentially contacts at least two touch areas. If the touch object contacts one touch area, an operation of the touch area is activated. If the touch object sequentially contacts at least two touch areas, a predetermined special function is activated. Accordingly, time for selecting the functions can be reduced and convenience can be enhanced during operation. |
