In a vehicle equipped with an idling stop system, a control device of a vehicle which does not give a driver a feeling of strangeness at a time when an internal combustion engine is restarted. In the control device of the vehicle equipped with the idling stop system for automatically stopping and starting the internal combustion engine, the idling stop system has a starter which separately causes a movement of a pinion gear and a drive of a motor and a semiconductor switching element which controls the movement of the pinion gear and the drive of the motor, the control device being provided with a means for detecting or estimating that the internal combustion engine is reversed in a process in which the internal combustion engine stops rotating and a means for inhibiting the drive of the motor by the semiconductor switching element for a predetermined period of time in the case where the engine reverse is detected or estimated.
