<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, method, etc. used for monitoring a charge status and voltage of capacitors in a circuit protection device. <P>SOLUTION: A circuit protection device comprises: a plasma gun; at least one capacitor 210, 212 communicatively coupled to the plasma gun; and a monitoring circuit communicatively coupled to the at least one capacitor 210, 212. The capacitor 210, 212 is configured to store electrical energy and to provide the electrical energy to the plasma gun. The monitoring circuit is configured to measure a charge property of the at least one capacitor (210, 212), determine a charge status of the at least one capacitor (210, 212) based on the measured charge property, and output at least one signal indicative of the charge status. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
