<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily input information in a non-contact manner by changing the shape of his or her hand. <P>SOLUTION: A fingertip position calculating part 63 acquires a coordinate position of a fingertip of the hand of a player included in an image. A fingertip position area recognizing part 101 recognizes a pattern of the area to which the acquired fingertip coordinate belongs as an area pattern when the image is divided into radial areas based on the center. An area pattern storage part 102 stores the area pattern of the fingertip coordinate position corresponding to a shape of the hand. An estimating part 103 estimates that a hand shape stored in association with an area pattern that matches the recognized area pattern of the stored area patterns is a shape of the hand in the image, and outputs the estimation result as input information using the hand shape.
