<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional wheelchair is very complicated in structure for dividing a seat into two parts and the absence of means for fixing a wheelchair body when a disabled person moves into the wheelchair poses an extreme danger. <P>SOLUTION: The wheelchair includes the a seat to be divided into two parts, a space where the rear face and the bottom under the seat are opened and permit a movable bed for a disable person to be inserted under the seat, a body having both sidewalls, respective device for driving the seat to open and close in the direction of separating the splittable seat from each other and bringing the split seats into contact with each other by each moving to the sides, holding plates of the means for driving the seat to open and close which are provided on both sidewalls, respectively, brakes for wheels, operation devices for the brakes, and devices for driving synchronously the seat to open and close and the means for actuating the brakes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
