A termite attractant comprising 1-butanol, 2-butanol, an ester of 1-butanol or 2-butanol, a ketone, an ether, a carboxylic acid, or a salt of any one of the aforementioned components; a termite egg mimicry comprising the termite attractant; and a termite disinfestation/control method using the attractant or the egg mimicry.
