<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser light source device able to reduce speckle noise without decreasing brightness, which is used as a light source for a projector device, for example. <P>SOLUTION: This laser light source device comprises: a laser light source; a prism provided such that one optical flat face through which a laser beam from the laser light source passes is orthogonal to the optical path of the laser beam; and a vibration drive mechanism that vibrates the prism so that the prism moves parallel along a plane in which another optical flat face that is not orthogonal to the optical path of the laser beam is positioned and in the direction in which the optical path length of a laser beam in the prism changes. A composite prism, in which a plurality of prism elements having two optical flat faces composing each apex angle are arranged in close contact with one another in the direction of height such that one optical flat surfaces are located on the same plane and the levels of the other optical flat faces are different, is provided so that one of the optical flat faces is orthogonal to the optical path of the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
