<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for diagnosing dementia and evaluating a cognitive function with high accuracy and high repeatability. <P>SOLUTION: The method for diagnosing the dementia and evaluating the cognitive function uses the electrolyte concentration of forehead hypodermic moisture as an index, utilizing the fact that: in the dementia and in a decline of the cognitive function, the electrolyte concentration of forehead hypodermic moisture in a resting time significantly shows a low value compared with a normal time; the electrolyte concentration variation of forehead hypodermic moisture in a mental work time significantly shows a low value; and/or the electrolyte concentration variation of forehead hypodermic moisture after resting after mental work significantly shows a low value compared with before work. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
