<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger having a hgh-rigidity connection plate. <P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger (1) is particularly an oil-water heat exchanger comprising a connection plate (2) fixed to an element particularly being an internal combustion engine, and a plurality of pan elements (3) stacked and brazed. The pan element (3) at least directly adjacent to the connection plate (2) has a flange-like rim (4), and when the heat exchanger (1) is installed, the rim (4) is fixed to the connection plate (2), thus enhancing rigidity of the connection plate (2).
