<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus comprising a contact-separation mechanism for contacting and separating a developing member to and from an image carrier which decreases collision sounds between the image carrier and the developing member, compacts the size of a driving motor for driving the contact-separation mechanism, and realizes the cost down. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus comprising a plurality of photoreceptor drums 1 corresponding to toner colors and adopting a contact development system, the image forming apparatus is characterized in having a drive transmission mechanism capable of driving separately, by one drive source, contact-separation cams 80 for respective developing rollers 40 corresponding to toners of yellow, magenta, cyan driven only when a full color image is formed, and a contact-separation cam 80 for a developing roller 40 corresponding to black toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
