<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mountability while making a common housing usable when mounting EGR valves to a variety of engines. <P>SOLUTION: Air releasing bosses 21, 22 are formed in advance at right and left side faces of the external face of the housing 1 of the EGR valve, in particular, the external face of the housing 1 constituting the wall of a spring chamber. Then, an air releasing port which communicates with the spring chamber and releases the chamber to air is formed at the boss (21, for example) which is not upwardly oriented while being mounted to the engine out of a pair of the right and left bosses 21, 22, and a cover plate 24 is attached to the opening surface of the air releasing port so as to oppose it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
