摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road-vehicle communication system capable of precisely assisting a driver in driving safely. <P>SOLUTION: The road-vehicle communication system includes an optical beacon having a light projector receiver 8 having its communication region set to a predetermined range of a road R, and an on-vehicle device which is mounted on a vehicle, and transmits and receives uplink information and downlink information to and from the light projector receiver 8 in the communication region. The light projector receiver 8 includes a light reception part 12 having a light reception surface 14a for receiving the uplink information. The light reception part 12 has an uplink area UA set so as to project the light reception surface 14a on the road R, and outputs light reception position information associated with a light reception position on the light reception surface 14a where the uplink information is optically received. The optical beacon 4 includes a control part which generates on-vehicle device position information representing a transmission position where the on-vehicle device transmits the uplink information in the uplink area UA based upon the light reception position information that the light reception part 12 outputs, and makes the light projector receiver 8 transmit the downlink information including the on-vehicle device position information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
