<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel support system in which a vehicle group forming a congestion is specified without ITS infrastructure and the congestion of the vehicle group can be resolved. <P>SOLUTION: A travel support system includes: congestion prediction means which makes a congestion prediction by performing the congestion prediction in real time on the basis of an estimated vehicle group distribution; vehicle group congestion information acquisition means which acquires congestion prediction information about a vehicle group obtained by the congestion prediction means; vehicle group end vehicle specification means which specifies a vehicle group end vehicle indicating start or end of a congestion from congestion information about the vehicle group; and travel support information providing means which provides travel support information to the vehicle group end vehicle specified by the vehicle group end vehicle specification means.
