Provided are a cyclic phosphate N-phenyl maleimide of the following formula 1, a production method therefor, and a copolymer and a composition comprising the same. The cyclic phosphate N-phenyl maleimide can either be added directly or added in the form of a copolymer to a resin, and can simultaneously improve heat resistance and flame retardancy.
