摘要 <p>The invention relates to a data processing device (1) enabling a user to input data, the device comprising a touch sensitive member (2) comprising a surface (2´) and touch sensors (4), said sensors being arranged to detect multiple touches on said surface, and a memory (5) arranged to store key information on a set of sections of a keyboard, each of said sections being associated with a specific finger. The key information comprises a function, shape and a position within the section of one or more virtual keys, to be touched by said specific finger. The device also comprises a processor (3) arranged to receive from said touch sensitive member (2) touch information relating to which zones of said surface are touched, and to group said zones into groups if said touch information remains substantially unchanged for a predetermined period of time, wherein a group is formed by a plurality of zones caused by a single hand of the user. The processor will then identify the fingers that correspond to the zones within a group using anatomical knowledge of the human hand, and allocate for each of said identified fingers one of the said stored set of keyboard sections (21', 24', 25') associated with said identified finger. After receiving from said touch sensitive member further touch information relating to which zones of said surface are touched, the processor will translate said further touch information into key-strokes using the position and function of said virtual keys within said keyboard sections.</p>
