The invention relates to furniture, specifically to a seating attachment and to a hinge support for such seating, and is directed to extending the functional possibilities of a device. The seating comprises a balancing element and a mount, on which a support with a hinge is fixed, with the mount being connected to the balancing element by means of said hinge. The support comprises a base and a spherical upper end and is fixed to the mount on an axis of symmetry thereof which is perpendicular to the front edge of the mount. The point at which the balancing element is mounted on the hinge is arranged on the axis of symmetry of the balancing element which is perpendicular to the front edge thereof and at a distance therefrom of 1/12 of the height of the user. A mounting plate is fixed along the rear edge on the balancing element between said balancing element and the mount. The diameter of the lower surface of the base is greater than the diameter of the upper end of the support. The base is designed so as to be vertically telescopic with the possibility of a height adjustment by virtue of changing the number of parts forming the base. The upper part of said base is in the form of a truncated cone, while the lower part is in the form of a truncated cone or a cylinder or a combination thereof. A threaded blind opening for connection with the upper end of the support by means of a screw fixed therein is formed in the upper part of the base. The base or the upper end of the support are formed with a cylindrical connecting spindle at the point where the upper end is connected to the upper part of said base.
