SLEEVE FOR REPAIRING OF A POURING HOLE OF A CONVERTER AND METHOD FOR REPAIR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A sleeve for repair of a converter tapping hole and a repair method using the same are provided to prevent damage to a sleeve from in a tapping hole of a converter when tapping molten steel by forming a protective layer on the inner periphery of the sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A sleeve(30) for repair of a converter tapping hole is inserted into a tapping hole(20) of a converter(1). The sleeve has a protective layer(40) formed by coating the inner periphery of the sleeve with a spout material. The spout material is prepared by mixing MgO of 5-15% into a mixture of magnesia-graphite waste refractories and converter slag. The magnesia-graphite waste refractories comprises C of 17-20% and MgO of 79-82%.
