PURPOSE: A signal processing method and a device thereof are provided to prevent distortion of original signals using LPC(Linear Prediction Coding) of a variable degree. CONSTITUTION: When coding mode information is about a voice coding mode, an ACELP(Algebraic Code Excited Linear Prediction) decoding unit(440) decodes a signal according to a voice coding mode. When the coding mode information is about an audio coding mode, a TCX(Transform Coded Excitation) decoding unit(450) decodes the signal according to an audio coding mode. An LPC decoding unit decodes a linear prediction coefficient of the signal based on linear prediction coding degree information. The LPC decoding unit applies the decoded linear prediction coefficient to the decoded signal. The LPC decoding unit outputs an output signal.
