PURPOSE: An operation method of a portable terminal is provided to improve the convenience of a user by providing various user interfaces within the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays plural lists on a first area of a display unit(S1110). The control unit displays plural menu objects on a second area of the display unit(S1120). The control unit receives a touch input signal for an item of one list or one list of plural lists(S1130). The control unit changes the display state of a menu object related to the item or a list received the touch input signal from the menu objects(S1140).
