<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article easily fitted to the body to reduce an uncomfortable feeling while reliably preventing a side leakage that runs on the surface of the absorbent article and making a side leakage preventing effect externally visible. <P>SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 includes an absorber 4 interposed between a liquid permeable front sheet 3 and a liquid impermeable rear sheet 2, and side nonwoven fabrics 7, 7 disposed on each side part of a front face along a longitudinal direction. A side region of each side nonwoven fabric 7 corresponding to at least a blood outlet H is provided with an emboss 20 of a complex waveform line substantially formed by superimposing a substantially simple harmonic waveform of a short period on a substantially simple harmonic waveform of a long period, along the substantially longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin 1.
