<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glove box stay that achieves a cost reduction while ensuring rigidity and preventing damage to another component. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of glove box stays 140 (140a and an outer stay 140b), which are configured such that each one end (each upper end part) is joined to a steering support member 120 and each other end (each lower end part) supports each of both ends in a vehicle width direction of a glove box 130, each include: a planar part 142a and 142b extending downward from one end and further horizontally curved or bent such that the other end goes around the bottom surface of the glove box, and comprising a substantially L-shaped flat plate; and flanges 144a and 144b erected from the long edges of the planar part so as to have a substantially U-shaped cross-section.
