<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining mechanism of a sofa which restricts the backward movement of a backrest to install a seat such as a sofa alongside a wall, prevents a jacket on a seated person from rising up, and is adapted to a sofa receiving a plurality of seated persons and having separate reclining seats. <P>SOLUTION: The reclining mechanism includes: a backrest frame 1 provided with both side projections 12 and 12 bent forward, on the lower side of a body portion 11; a seat frame 2 having both sides rotatably connected with projection ends 12a of the backrest frame 12; and a base 3 having sliding portions 31 mounted with the seat frame 2 to be moved forward and backward, and having a back side provided with a supporting portion 32 for supporting the backrest frame 1. The backrest frame 1 and the seat frame 2 are connected so that the projections 12 of the backrest frame 1 are adjacently arranged on either side of the seat frame 2 while the body portion 11 of the backrest frame 1 is raised, and the backward movement of the top part of the backrest is inhibited when the backrest is reclined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
