<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite trolley wire which prevents an abrupt change in mechanical strength and electrical characteristics due to wear of a trolley sliding surface, and thus has higher reliability against them. <P>SOLUTION: In the composite trolley wire, high-strength continuous filament bodies (3) are buried along an axis in a longitudinal direction of a conductive linear body (2) made of a conductive material.
