<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope device capable of quickly restarting while reliably restraining power consumption in removing a scope. <P>SOLUTION: When a processor device is not operated for a predetermined time (S110) after the scope (S108) is removed with a lamp (S104) turned on, the lamp is put out, and operation other than that of an SBC (single board computer) is stopped to shift into a sleep state (S112). When conditions for releasing the sleep state are established (S114), the lamp is left put out, and other functions are returned into the state before the sleep.
