<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align a plurality of sheets of paper stacked on a paper discharge tray without inclination. <P>SOLUTION: A paper discharge device 10 is provided as follows. By a paper discharge roller 14, the sheets of paper P are successively discharged at high speeds with a front end Pf in the paper discharging direction in the lead onto a paper discharge tray 12 inclined by a given angle to the vertical direction, so as to be stacked. Further, the rear end Pr side of the discharged paper P is dropped by its own weight along the inclined paper discharge tray 12 or the stacked sheets of paper P, and also, when the rear end Pr side of the paper P during its free fall is moved to the side opposing to the paper-discharging direction while being nipped by a paper return roller 15, so as to butt against the rear end Pr of the paper P against a paper-rear-end butting fence 13 for aligning the rear ends Pr of the stacked sheets of paper P, oscillatory waves which are generated by an oscillation generating means 16 attached to the paper-rear-end butting fence 13 and direct to the longitudinal direction of the paper P are applied to the paper-rear-end butting fence 13, so that the plurality of sheets of paper P stacked can be reliably aligned without inclination on the paper discharge tray 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
