Provided is a mobile telephone with a cartilage conduction section that comes into contact with ear cartilage and is provided at at least one of the two corner sections on the top side of the mobile telephone. Specifically provided is a mobile telephone that: has an outer wall surface and a cartilage conduction and vibration source arranged further inside than the outer wall surface; transmits the vibration of the cartilage conduction and vibration source to said outer wall surface; and also increases the acoustic pressure 1 cm inside the external auditory canal, from the entrance to the external auditory canal, by at least 10 dB when the external wall surface is brought in contact with at least part of the ear cartilage in the vicinity of the external auditory canal entrance without coming in contact with the helix, compared to when the outer wall surface is not brought in contact. The mobile telephone has: a telephone function unit; the cartilage conduction and vibration source; an application processor that controls the telephone function unit; a power management unit that supplies a plurality of different voltages to the telephone function unit; a drive circuit that drives the cartilage conduction and vibration source based on the power supply from the power management unit; and a control unit that controls the power management unit and the drive circuit based on instructions from the application processor. The power management unit, the drive circuit, and the control unit are configured as a one-chip integrated circuit. |
