PURPOSE: A temporary handrail post is provided to reduce safety accidents by preventing components, such as wedges, from being protruded to the inner side of a handrail. CONSTITUTION: A temporary handrail post comprises brackets(112), wedge grooves, and wedges(120). The front ends of upper and lower plates are vertically connected to the brackets through connection units. The brackets allow pipe handrails(130) to penetrate through the spaces formed between the outer surfaces of handrail posts(110) and the connection units. The wedge grooves are formed on the upper and lower plates to be adjacent to the handrail posts. The wedges are inserted into the wedge grooves and fix the pipe handrails.
