PURPOSE: A rail damping structure is provided to reduce vertical, horizontal, and longitudinal vibration when a railway vehicle travels on a rail by arranging damping pads between a base plate and the rail. CONSTITUTION: A rail damping structure comprises a sleeper, a base plate(200), a rail(300), a first damping pad(120), a second damping pad(240), and a third damping pad(280). A first damping groove(110) is formed on the top of the sleeper. The base plate is fixed to the top of the sleeper and has a second damping groove(230) at the top. The rail is fixed to the top of the base plate. The first damping pad is inserted into the first damping groove. The second damping pad is inserted into the second damping groove. The third damping pad is formed between the base plate and the sleeper and elastically supports the bottom of the base plate.
