<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition providing good image quality even when a print-stopped time is long, to provide an inkjet recording method by which the frequency of maintenance is reduced and a printing time is shortened more by using the ink composition for the inkjet, and to provide an ink cartridge, a recording unit and an inkjet recording apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition 1 for the inkjet contains coloring matter, an aqueous medium at least containing water and 1,5-pentanediol, and a water-soluble additive at least containing a humectant and a penetration promoter, wherein the content of the 1,5-pentanediol is ≥5 and ≤30 mass% based on the whole composition and the contents of the humectant and the penetration promoter are each ≤3 mass% based on the whole composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
