<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently collect information showing a display state of articles in a store or in a display unit of a vending machine. <P>SOLUTION: The article management device 1 includes: a layout data acquisition unit 10 to acquire the data of a layout image obtained by picking up the display state of various types of articles; a matching unit 11 to specify a processing area being a prescribed area in the layout image, perform pattern-matching between the image in the processing area and an appearance image of each article, thereafter, repeat a processing to store information for specifying the processing area, information for identifying the article specified on the basis of the appearance image and the pattern matching results in association with one another in a memory while changing at least one of the processing area and the appearance image; and a layout estimation unit 14 to estimate the articles displayed in the processing area on the basis of the pattern matching results, and then, estimate the display state of the plurality of kinds of articles are displayed, on the basis of the estimation results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
