<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic compound decomposing agent which is of a low cost, high in ability to decompose an organic compound, hard to influence the environment, and excellent in stability. <P>SOLUTION: The organic compound decomposing agent, which includes an α-iron/iron oxide composite product (1) and an iron oxide (2), has an I<SB POS="POST">α-iron</SB>/I<SB POS="POST">iron oxide</SB>ratio of 0.1 to 5.0 between the diffraction intensity I<SB POS="POST">iron oxide</SB>and the diffraction intensity I<SB POS="POST">α-iron</SB>, wherein the diffraction intensity I<SB POS="POST">iron oxide</SB>is a total in diffraction intensity of diffraction rays from the (111) surface of the FeO, the (311) surface of the γ-Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, and the (311) surface of the Fe<SB POS="POST">3</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>in the X ray diffraction of the composite product (1); and the diffraction intensity I<SB POS="POST">α-iron</SB>is the diffraction intensity of a diffraction ray from the (110) surface of the α-iron. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
