The present invention discloses a method and system for digitized pileup waveform processing. The method includes: firstly determining the rising edge region of a pulse, determining whether said pulse is a pileup waveform according to the time interval between the rising edges of the neighbor pulses; dividing the digital waveform determined as a pileup based on the rising edge and falling edge of the pulse, and then reconstructing in turn every single event pulse waveform in the pileup making use of the divided waveforms, information of every single pulse can be extracted from said reconstructed waveform. The present invention also discloses a pileup waveform processing system, which includes a pileup waveform discrimination module, a pulse waveform division module, and a pulse waveform reconstruction module. The present invention can effectively discriminate pileup pulse waveform, precisely reconstruct every single event pulse waveform, and exactly recover information of energy, time, amplitude, decay time constant, location and so on of the single event pulse, therefore improve system's count rate and SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) of measurement result in the situation of high activity. |
