PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage battery for vehicle having a guide route with high waterproof effect.

SOLUTION: A lead storage battery for vehicle includes a battery case including at least one cell chamber and a lid for covering an upper opening of the battery case in which a guide route 8 for discharging the gas in the cell chamber to the outside is formed. The guide route 8 includes a first guide part 9B for guiding the gas from the cell chamber in the horizontal direction, a second guide part 9C connected to the first guide part 9B and for guiding the gas from the first guide part 9B to the lower part, and a third guide part 10A connected to the second guide part 9C and for guiding the gas from the second guide part 9C in the horizontal direction to discharge the gas to the outside from an exhaust port 4K formed in the lid 1. The guide route 8 is configured so that the angle θ formed between a linear line L inscribing on a corner 9K between the first guide part 9B and the second guide part 9C and a corner 10K between the second guide part 9C and the third guide part 10A, and the horizontal line can be larger than the maximum inclination angle in which the inclination angle of a vehicle is maximized at the running of the vehicle on a slope.
