IMAGING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME, PROGRAM AND STORAGE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately drive vibration means in view of differences in power consumption, attitude of an optical member during application of vibration and characteristics of vibration type.

SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging device converting an optical image of a subject to electric signals; an optical member arranged in front of the imaging device; first vibration means causing the optical member to generate standing wave vibration; second vibration means causing the optical member to generate carrier wave vibration; and control means having a first cleaning mode applying vibration to the optical member in conjunction with power on or power off of the imaging apparatus and a second cleaning mode applying vibration to the optical member in response to an instruction of a user. The control means selects the first vibration means in the first cleaning mode while selecting the second vibration means in the second cleaning mode.
