<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a liquid developer remaining on an intermediate transfer body after secondary transfer may be suitably cleaned so as to form a high quality image. <P>SOLUTION: A wet-type image forming apparatus using a liquid developer employs a tandem system in which primary transfer onto an intermediate transfer body 21 is once performed before secondary transfer onto a recording medium, and the image forming apparatus comprises: a cleaning part for recovering the liquid developer remaining on the intermediate transfer body 21 after the secondary transfer; and a flocculation accelerator 101 disposed on a downstream side, in a rotation direction of the intermediate transfer body 21, of a secondary transfer position and on an upstream side, in the rotation direction of the intermediate transfer body 21, of the cleaning part and supplying, onto a surface of the intermediate transfer body 21, a flocculation accelerator for accelerating flocculation of a resin included in the liquid developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
