<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter which surely makes the high side conductive even during DCM operation and a method for controlling the same. <P>SOLUTION: The DC-DC converter comprises a coupling capacitance between a power supply voltage VB and the source of a high side nch transistor FET1, and has a switch part connected between the source of a high side nch transistor FET2 and a ground potential. The switch part is conducted before the high side nch transistor FET1 is conducted, and become nonconductive synchronously with conduction of the high side nch transistor FET1. A nchFET conduction prediction part 30A, which detects that the high side nch transistor FET1 is conducted, adds an offset to a triangular wave oscillator output signal DO so that an error amp output signal EA and the triangular wave oscillator output signal DO will intersect earlier than a time at which they intersect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
