The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for a virtual golf simulation, in which a player may perform golf putting on a putting plate as if the golf putting is being performed on a real green when a putting distance is within a preset distance, wherein the image of the green being displayed on a screen and the putting plate are interconnected when a putting distance is longer than a preset distance, such that putting performed through the putting plate by the user may be connected to the green image. Thus, the apparatus and the method of the present invention may provide realism for enabling the user to perform golf putting in a virtual golf simulation environment as if he/she is performing golf putting on a real golf course with greens.
