<p>The invention relates to a rotary percussion apparatus (2), comprising: a casing (3) forming a mounting; a striking mechanism which comprises a longitudinal body (8), which is rotatably mounted in the housing (3) along the axis (A) of the body, and which includes a cylinder (9) extending along the axis of the body, a striking piston (11) which is slidably mounted inside the cylinder and which is intended to strike a shank (13) coupled to a drill rod, and a distribution device arranged to control the alternating movement of the striking piston (11) along the axis of the body; and a motor (6) that is arranged to rotate the body (8) of the striking mechanism about a rotational axis (B) substantially coinciding with the axis of the body. The striking mechanism includes a closing cover (12) that is mounted onto the body (8) and arranged to close one end of the body. The closing cover is rotatably coupled to an output shaft (7) of the motor, and at least partially comprises the distribution device.</p> |
