APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROL TRIGGER OF AMR(ADAPTIVE MULTI RATE)

PURPOSE: An adaptive multi rates control apparatus using cell loads and method thereof are provided to offer optimal services by guaranteeing subscriber QoS(Quality of Service). CONSTITUTION: A load measurement unit measures cell loads through power transmitted from a base station or a terminal(S100). When the measured load is bigger than an overload threshold, a rate reference confirmation unit confirms down control reference values used for transmitting cells(S110). A rate reflection unit instructs the base station and the terminal to reflect the confirmed reference values(S125). The base station and the terminal reduces the rates(S140).
