Extruder and roller-die combination and method of manufacturing an elastomeric strip

An apparatus for forming an elastomeric strip is disclosed. The apparatus (109) comprises a roller (116) having a cylindrical surface and an adjustable surface (200) confronting the cylindrical surface and having a first stationary position relative to the cylindrical surface such that the apparatus forms an elastomeric strip having a first thickness. The adjustable surface (200) is adjustably pivotable relative to the cylindrical surface such that the adjustable surface (200) moves to a second stationary position for forming an elastomeric strip having a second thickness. Also, a method of forming an elastomeric strip using such an apparatus is disclosed.
