<p>A carton for packaging articles includes a base panel (16), first side panel, (14A/14B) second side panel (18A/18b), first top panel (12) and second top panel (20) forming a tubular structure. The first and second top panels are disposed in face contacting relationship with each other. The carton also includes end closure panels for at least partially closing the ends of the tubular structure. The end closure panels include a first top end closure panel (30A) hinged to one of the first and second top panels while a reinforcing panel (34A) is struck at least in part from the one of the first and second top panels. The reinforcing panel is folded about a hinged connection (40A) so as to be in face contacting relationship with the first top end closure panel.</p> |
