A sewing machine comprises a pair of differential feed dogs, and a pair of differential feeding feet arranged for co-operation with the feed dogs to stretch the work. Feed dogs 3, 4 are provided with feed advance and feed lift motions from respective eccentrices 17,18 on a main shaft 10 drawing the needle bar 12, the feed bar carrying the trailing dog 3 being connected to the feed lift shaft via a swinging link 30 in order to reduce the feeding stroke of dog 3 relative to that of the leading dog 4. A shaft 26, driven from shaft 10 via gearing 19, 20, 21, 22 and shafts 23, 24, 25, carries on eccentric 27 adapted to impact feed advance motion to a trailing feeding foot 6 co-operating with dog 3, and an eccentric 28 adapted to impact feed advance motion to a leading feeding foot 7 co-operating with dog 4. An eccentric 29 on shaft 26 is adapted to impact feed lift motion to the feet 6, 7. Shaft 26 is coupled to the vertical presser bar carrying a presser foot 5, the vertical shaft 25 coupled by gearing 22 to shaft 26 is telescopic, and the arrangement is such that the presser foot 5 and the feeding feet 6, 7 rise and fall alternately. Shaft 10 is also coupled by gearing 13,14 and a shaft 15 to a shaft 16 carrying a rotary hook. |
