PURPOSE: A remote motor control device for a power plant is provided to enable remote monitoring, control, and data collection by connecting a microprocessor-based control unit having a communication function to an upper remote controller through a field bus. CONSTITUTION: A remote motor control device for a power plant comprises a motor controller(3) and a remote control unit(2). The motor controller includes a microprocessor-based control unit having a communication function, a protective function, and a relay function. The remote control unit is connected to the motor controller through a field bus(6) and concentrates functions for process information processing, operation control, and management of dispersed computers to an SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) server(4).
