<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide support structure of filter plates allowing stretching of filter cloth without loosening, and preventing reduction of a filtration area. <P>SOLUTION: In the support structure of the filter plate, the plurality of filter plates 20 formed by covering outer peripheries of supports 22 with the bag-likely formed filter cloth 24, with the inside of the filter cloth 24 serving as filtration chambers R, are juxtaposed with flat faces set vertically in a filtration tank 2 at given intervals. A filtration frame 30 surrounding the filtration plate 20 is disposed on the outer periphery of the filtration plate 20. An upper side S1 of the filter cloth 24 is supported by suspending at an upper side 31 of the filtration frame 30, a first weight member 50 is attached to a lower side S2 of the filter cloth 24, and the lower side S2 of the filter cloth 24 is stretched by the weight.
